We're very excited to bring you all some massive news today - something we've been working hard on (and working even harder to keep to ourselves) for a while now. The Quidditch Premier League has signed a major agreement with SAVAGE to become the our official apparel partner for the 2017, 2018, and 2019 seasons. Alongside the announcement, we are delighted to give you a sneak peek of one of our very first kits - the Eastern Mermaids! This is just one of a dazzling array of team kits that you can expect from this partnership.
The company will produce the on-field kits and Quidditch Premier League branded gear in a three-year partnership that begins with the league’s inaugural 2017 season.
“SAVAGE has made a strong name for themselves in the USA by providing apparel for Major League Quidditch, and so we are naturally thrilled to be bringing their high standards to the UK with the Quidditch Premier League,” said Director Jack Lennard. “Having admired their products from across the Atlantic for years now (and as a proud owner of some of their kits!), I can’t wait to get to work with SAVAGE to create stunning apparel for our players and fans.”
SAVAGE began in 2009 as a customizable apparel company. Within eight years, SAVAGE has become well known in several niche sports including quidditch. Priding itself on offering high quality gear with in-house designers, SAVAGE has become a go-to for teams looking to be a step ahead of the competition. With this next step, SAVAGE plans on expanding its reach further into the European quidditch market.
“When I first heard about the Quidditch Premier League, I was filled with excitement,” says SAVAGE founder Todd Curran. “After working with the Major League Quidditch, I knew SAVAGE needed to support the Quidditch Premier League in some form. After a productive meeting with Jack Lennard, we knew we wanted to be 100 percent in. We had been looking for a way to expand our reach into the quidditch market and also the European market. Our partnership will be a driving force for SAVAGE to lower its international costs, which may have held back some customers.”
The brands and kits for each team will be announced in the coming two months, and the kits will then be available through the SAVAGE website. Kits will be offered to players at a significantly reduced cost, ensuring that the dramatically increased quality of the apparel does not affect the affordability of participating in the Quidditch Premier League.
In addition to this, players will be offered the opportunity to reduce the price of their kits even further with each replica kit that they sell - the SAVAGE Player Programme.
This agreement means we have been able to set the Quidditch Premier League player fee, including a full kit, at a flat fee of £67 for the 2017 season. This cost can be heavily reduced with the SAVAGE Player Programme being introduced this season, with more information becoming available next month.
The player fee includes your entry to the Quidditch Premier League, with eligibility for all divisional fixtures and the championship fixture, as well as a fully sublimated and personalised kit (including a jersey, shorts, and socks).
SAVAGE has also generously offered a 20 percent PRO discount to all Quidditch Premier League players for their online shop. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with the reduced player kit costs nor with the kit price reduction scheme.
Finally, we are excited to confirm that SAVAGE will be the first of our individual team sponsors, and their brand will be featured on the kits of the London Monarchs. We expect to have similar sponsorships negotiated and agreed for all eight Quidditch Premier League teams for the 2017 season.
