The Quidditch Premier League are delighted to announce that Mind will be the official charity for the 2018 season. Mind are committed to providing support to those experiencing mental health problems, and to campaigning for greater awareness, understanding, and services for anyone experiencing such problems.

As the official charity for the 2018 season, Mind will receive funds raised during the season from optional donations made by players who 'round up' their fees as with our 2017 season. Last year, this approach raised £600 for the UK Lesbian and Gay Immigration Group.

In addition to this, the upcoming Guinness World Record attempt at the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon will also be used to raise funds for Mind, and we are planning other fundraising elements for the rest of the season to ensure that our partnership with Mind delivers a significant amount of both funding and awareness for their mission.

'I'm so excited to announce Mind as our 2018 official charity,' Director Jack Lennard said. 'Every year, one in four people experience a mental health problem. Not only that, but mental health problems are particularly prevalent among LGBTQ youth. Mind's tireless work, therefore, sits at the very heart of our values as a sport and as a league, and so it's fantastic to be supporting them this year. I can't wait to raise funds and awareness for a cause that's so close to the hearts of myself and the rest of our community!'
